Perb67
As the title says, the keyboard suddenly stops working every now and then. The backlights go out and the keys won't work. If I unplug it and plug it back in, it works for a while again. Mostly this happens when I've been away from the computer for a while but not always. Feels like I should return it but I thought I'd check if there's a fix first.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted February 18, 2012 Corsair Employees Share Posted February 18, 2012 Make sure you are using a USB 2.0 port. Have your bios updated and also your USB drivers.
Perb67
Make sure you are using a USB 2.0 port. Have your bios updated and also your USB drivers. I've moved it around to a few different USB ports but it doesn't help. I only have USB 2.0 and 3.0. Right now I have it connected to a USB hub on my table. Not because it works better but because I won't have to crawl under my desk when the keyboard decides it's time to quit again. I updated the K90 bios the first thing I did and my drivers are up to date.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted February 21, 2012 Corsair Employees Share Posted February 21, 2012 Are you only having the issues using the hub? or also direct into your motherboard? What type of system are you using?
Perb67
No, the hub was only the last thing I tried, I've moved it around to almost all my ports. The specs are in my profile, but here you go: Motherboard MSI P67A-GD65 REV B3 Processor Intel Core i7 2600K Memory Corsair 8GB (2x4096MB) 1600MHz XMS3 Video Card # 1 HD6950 Operating System Win7
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted February 22, 2012 Corsair Employees Share Posted February 22, 2012 I would suggest using the link on the left hand side of the page and fill out an RMA request. Can you confirm that this issue occurs when plugged into another desktop computer?
Synthohol
windows allows the shutting down of idle USB ports unless you tell it not to. this may be the problem. you have to check all the usb hub properties, you will have several.

Thanks for the tip, none was acitve though. I'll test the keyboard on a different computer for a couple of days and see how it goes.
