mikec1183
Ok so I have the i7-2600k with the asus sabertooth p67 and I got this ram to go with it http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233143 I was testing the ram with a prime95 blend test and it was able to finish 8 hours without problems running at 1333mhz. When I set it up to the specified 1600mhz,The prime95 blend test would go fine for about 10 minutes and then the entire pc just freezes and hardlocks (no BSOD, errors, nothing) and I would have to press the reset button. What could be the problem? I have never had a problem with corsair ram until this.
peanutz94
With large memory kits it's you may have to add memory controller voltage (not DIMM voltage) to compensate for the increased load on the memory controller. It should be labeled VCCIO in your BIOS. Add .2v and run your tests again.
