Riot203
Today, after work I turned my PC on for about 20 minutes. It made a loud pop sound and no smoke. I took apart the whole computer and inspected it and can't find anything wrong, but I was told to check the power supply. There was white globs inside the power supply almost like glue, hard to the touch. Corsair TX850 V2 power supply bought in October of 2011. I am going to guess the capacitor popped, at least a large one popped. If I am wrong let me know, I can still power on the power supply. I don't know if it still holds voltage. Riot203
Update: I am starting to think the power supply isn't supplying enough power. The only degrading thing is I am not able to play games. I using it at the moment. I cannot find any blown capacitor on the motherboard or video card. I took it a part and rebuilt it form the cpu with new paste. Anyways is the white globs in the power supply glue or a blown up capacitor insulation?
