Corsair Ram Issues!

I just put together a new AMD 64 system and the pc won't run when I have both of my ram sticks in, but it runs fine with just 1 stick. First the specs: AMD 64 3400+ 1GB Corsair XMS PC3200 (2 x 512mb) MSI K8N Neo Platinum Western Digital 200GB SATA When I have both stick of 512 ddr in, the pc beeps over and over fairly slowly, and I get no video at all. When I remove the 2nd stick of ram the pc runs fine, I am on it right now. I know both sticks of ram work as I used them in my last pc. Can someone please help me? Also I just noticed one thing about my ram is it is the exact same ram but one is an older version. one says on it "XMS3202v1.1", thats the older one, and the newer one says "XMS3202v4.1". does that effect anything?

Specific slots are only needed for dual channel. This seems to be a compatibility problem with the different versions of memory (specifically the differences between the ICs used on each stick). Your best bet is to relax your memory timings a little bit.
