doctor_v
I have 4 CMX8GX3M1A1600C10 * GB Vengeance sticks. The problem is that the heat sinks are too big to fit under my NZXT cpu cooler. At least two are restricted. Can the heat sinks be removed without ruining the sticks?
Synthohol
nope, that will void the warranty and or rip off the IC chips. Corsair sells low profile Vengeance ram for this reason.
doctor_v
The problem is that I need 8 GB sticks. On my ASUS board, sticks 3 and 4 are blocked, and I can't find 8 GB sticks without the high risers.
Synthohol
time to reexamine your CPU cooling method i think. or void your ram warranty and snip off the fins that have interference
Wired
CMP32GX3M4X1600C10 could be short enough. If not, the tops can be unscrewed.
