smatchamo
I connected the HD audio cable to my motherboard, and I don't get any sound from the front panel headphone jack. My motherboard: ASRock Z68 Extreme3 Gen3 LGA 1155 Intel Z68 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard How can I troubleshoot this to see if it is the case wires or the motherboard that is not working properly? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Smashbro29
I kow it's really old. But THIS! Everything else works flawlessly, I checked the BIOS and it says it's there I downloaded the audio drivers and I'm just at a loss now.
Smashbro29
I tried using the 97 plug. Same deal. Tested the headphones elsewhere. It's not those.
Smashbro29
I can't find the edit button but the classic "try plugging it in again" thing worked pretty nicely.

Toasted
Change the Front Panel Audio setting in the BIOS from HD Audio to AC'97. Refer to your motherboards user manual for help.
