NBostaph
I just purchased a 60 GB Force 3 series drive. This is my first SSD. So far I have installed Windows, updated Windows, insured I have the latest firmware from Corsair, disabled superfetch and defrag, and run an ATTO benchmark. Prior to the ATTO test I noticed that the system would occasionally freeze for 30 or so seconds. This seemed odd to me, but I'm thinking these results explain it: http://nightscapecreations.com/temp/atto.png I'm not SSD expert, but the numbers below 8k seem pretty darn odd. Has anyone experienced this before? Can anyone offer some suggestions? I perused all the posts on page one of the forum here, including some of the stickies, but none seemed to address this problem directly. Thanks. NBostaph
Well, I apologize for bothering you guys; I had the issue resolved without knowing it apparently. After my first test I restarted the computer, installed the AMD AHCI drivers from support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/windows/Pages/raid_windows.aspx, and then ran the benchmark again. There was no change, and I posted the results from that second test. However, I boneheadedly didn't restart the computer after installing the AHCI drivers. Once I did that and then ran the benchmark again, I came up with these more reasonable numbers: http://nightscapecreations.com/temp/atto2.png The 8k - 64k numbers are a bit lower, but a fair tradeoff I think. Of course, if anyone has suggestions for improving that, I'd love to hear. :) Thanks.

NBostaph
Sorry. Done to the best of my knowledge. Though for some reason my PSU field keeps getting Thermaltake's name blanked out. I'm not sure why.
Toasted
-Do you still experience any freezes after you installed the AHCI driver? If no, Then the ATTO benchmark you posted look fine for a AMD chipset.
NBostaph
Nope, no freezes. And I thought the benchmark looked okay for a SATA 2 connection. But it's nice to have that confirmed. Thanks. :)
