MrBlazito
Hello, I've been using the TW3X4G1333C9A ram in my system with no problems. I purchased the CMX8GX3M2A1333c9 ram and get a CMOS: bad checksum error. Memtest comes through clean. Could the ram be bad or do I need to setup timing manually? Any advice on timing? Thanks all. Wired
Reset the BIOS, and please don't go around the filter.
MrBlazito
Resetting bios doesn't help. Only way to stop the error is to put my old ram back in. Plus the post takes way longer with the new ram. Even the screen takes longer to show anything when I turn the computer on with the new ram installed. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 16, 2012 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 16, 2012 Did you try and test them one module at a time to be sure one is not failing? And when you installed the modules did you go to BIOS setup and load setup defaults then set the tested setting of the new modules?
