Loyck
Hello I've made a complete watercooled computer with very quite fans and I just realize that the only noisy part of my computer is the psu fan. I've tested it outside of the computer with nothing plugged in to see how the fan spin at low charge and the rotation speed seems high ( video link below) . Should I ask for an RMA ? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qf6-nwGfkRM&list=UUZzIuUe7i1EnC8EjnZL-b5w&index=1&feature=plcp

Mummy
Nope, seams like you have same problem that i do http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?t=102261 I try to find another PSU for replase, before i ask RMA. ps.That video would tell more about noise level, if you had an another PSU runing with it... peanutz94
Noise is a hard thing to judge. What is loud to one person may not be to another. But your PSU is going to make some noise, but if it is too loud for you or you think it is louder thanit shoud be , you could always RMA the PSU if you want. From looking at your video it all looks completely normal for a high wattage PSU. I had to really turn my speakers up to hear the fan running. *shrugs*
Mummy
Well you are right about the noise to one can be loud and to other it silent. Anyways, to my understanding, that fan shoulden run so fast without any load in firsth plase( even if its silent). High wattage PSU or not. Loyck
well i don't want to start an rma procedure if the next psu has the same fan speed that's why i ask if it's normal or not
