lowryder
I just bought a new stick of Corsair memory, labeled CMX512-3200C2 v3.1. I installed it, and it boots in dual channel mode with my other two ram sticks labeled CMX256A-3200C2 v1.1. Unfortunatley, Windows XP reboots randomly shortly thereafter. I have set the bios to the reccomended timings of 6-3-3-2.5 @ 2.7v. What can I do to remedy the problem? I have already tried running the memory at slower timings, but the motherboard just gives me the beep code for "No DRAM installed or detected". The two sticks of 256 play well together. The one 512 stick plays well alone. Should I just return my new stick of ram, or is there any possibility of getting this to work? Thanks, system specs are below. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted July 22, 2004 Corsair Employees Share Posted July 22, 2004 I am sorry, but you will need to match the modules both in part# and revision with most MB's! I would either find another use for the 2 256 Meg sticks and just get a Twinx1024-3200LL for best performance, or see if you can find a match to your Rev 1.1 modules in a CMX512-3200C2! Sorry!
