bbymgr
I have installed 1 4gb stick of xms3 cl9 1333 memory in this new motherboard. When I install the second stick the computer justs keeps trying to start. With one stick in I have installed windows and everything runs fine. This motherboard is not listed so I have 2 questions: Is the memory I have compatible? If not what memory should I use? cmx8gx3m2a1333c9

bbymgr
Okay I tried setting 99924, XMP profile 1, and channels a and b. Every time I add the second stick the system will not post. Fans turn, c[pu fan turns for 2 seconds and the stops and restarts every 2 or 3 seconds.

bbymgr
Thank you for the suggestion. I actually did just that. Gigabyte worked with me for a while and then pronounced the motherboard bad in the second memory channel. I did go out and purchaces more memory and I also tried 2 2gb corsair sticks I had from a 6gb kit. None of them worked using 2 sticks and this is what led Gigabyte tech to decide that the board was defective. Tiger direct is being gracious enough to exchange it even though it is 31 days since purchase. If the new board works I will post a final anser so that all will know if the memory works in this new board. Thanks to all who tried to help. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 3, 2012 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 3, 2012 We can try and replace the modules for you but I suspect the MB or CPU is the issue from what you have posted so please do let us know how it works out.
