christee6
boxing day got me deciding to build my own computer and i recently purchased this mother board asus p8z68-v pro/gen3 http://www.memoryexpress.com/Products/MX36364 and this memory Vengeance LP 16GB DDR3 1600MHz CL9 Quad Channel Kit (4 x 4GB) http://www.memoryexpress.com/Products/MX35116 i looked for compatability on here and the motherboard website but im kinda a newb at this, i was able to find the type of memory and motherboard with the compatability checker but the codes always vary ever so slittly to exactly what i (think) im looking for, any help her would be appreciated, i have a little bit of time to change my order if i need to but not much the reason i am curious is that i just noticed in the mother board specs it says dual channel and the ram says quad channel, not really sure what that means
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 28, 2011 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 28, 2011 These modules are made for the Intel X79 Chip set, I would suggest looking under Dual Channel Kits you will find them a little less expensive. But these will work on that MB if you prefer.
