Miyo
Hi guys, Was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on how to cut the window side panel on the 800D. I bought an extra side panel and the 200mm fan to work on~ the crossfire setup is making the case pretty hot and I think it needs a big fan blowing from the side. :) Any suggestions on how to cut it? FlawlessSoul
Dremel with standard metal cutting discs? You could cut vents, one big hole, or some sort of design. You'll probably want a fan filter in the mix somewhere.
Miyo
Yeah, I was thinking the dremel in a big 200mm circle and then putting a fan filter in it.
Davet58
What are you running for video cards? I have two GTX 570s and my case with the a H70 and three fans in the top runs very cool.
Homewrecker
I would suggest a Jigsaw with a blade for Plastic / Plexi. Dremel Tools spin too fast and end up melting the plastic whiles its cutting. If you're not careful you'll end up with a big globby, uneven mess. HOODedAssault
Id go with a couple 120mm fans and get some nice aluminum fan grilles with skulls or something off frozencpu... Would look pretty badass imo... 200mm is nice to but I think your a lot more limited to make it look good (finding an aluminum grille or decent looking fan filter in 200mm could take some searching) and then u could put just the two fans direct where the vid cards are and still utilize more of ur side window. My 2 cents :winking: Also jigsaw is the way to go. Melted a lot of plexi in my day before realizing doing it manually saves a lot of headache.
