robert3892
I'm running an EVGA X58 FTW and have my Force 3 90GB SSD hooked up to the Marvell controller (Serial ATA 600MB/sec). These are the the read write speeds I'm getting. They look a bit low to me. The motherboard has the latest BIOs, latest Marvell firmware update, latest Marvell Windows driver. I tried the Intel SATA as well and got slightly lower speeds. http://i516.photobucket.com/albums/u321/robert3892/crystal.png
madnisman
To compare the speeds you should use ATTO benchmark as the advertised speeds were measured with this tool. Anyway, the Intel controller would be more stable and reliable. The Marvell controller is buggy, you won't gain SATA3 full speed with this controller and it seems to cause issues. robert3892
I might switch back but the system is very stable at present and the speeds on the Marvell are slightly higher than on the Intel SATA 2 port.
robert3892
I decided to buy a third party SATA 3 controller and my speeds have increased slightly over 10 percent.
