Driverchief
I am build a PC for my brother for Christmas and got an AX650. I have everything connected (mobo, CPU, fans, HDD) and it all works but the fan isn't spinning. Should I be considering an RMA or will it spin up if I make it work hard enough? Thanks for the help guys!
Toasted
That is normal, no need for an RMA.

ComputerBuildin
By seeing many youtube videos and reviews, it turns out if people read the manual, that the fans on the AX series have no need to spin unless it gets hot, makes sense right? :D: So if you ran a few benchmarks chances are it would turn on. It works like this. Setting 1: off 2:on 25% and so on. It goes up every second, not off then randomly to 100% speed. However I do not know if this is all of the AX series, but I do know its like this with the ax850. Check it out after running a few benchmarks, if everything is REALLY hot and you ran tons of benchmarks and its still not on, not sure but maybe you might have gotten a faulty one, but run benchmarks until it turns on just to make sure. if it doesnt it may be faulty. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 3, 2012 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 3, 2012 How long has the system been on for this testing and how is your case cooling? For example if you have good case cooling with positive air pressure the PSU Fan may not turn on. Have you rtan the system for several hours and still the fan is not turning on?
