M90 laser died

I think mine may have just died too... but not physically, i think something to do with the buggy drivers. I was changing the mouse polling between 2ms and 1ms and it stopped working. but the left/right click work fine.

plugged into a different USB port and still doesn't work, wow...

Update... mine definitely seems busted too.

problem: after changing from 2ms to 1ms polling, mouse pointer stopped moving. clicks work. EDIT: actually, I remember the mouse screwing up after this and constantly turning itself on and off like it was trying to switch DPI but failing, and I kept getting the device plugged in and device unplugged sound from windows and it went on for awhile until I manually unplugged it and plugged it back in. after this the sensor hasn't worked at all, but clicks work fine.

solutions tried to fix:

-change polling settings some more

-change dpi

-change profile/create new profile

-plug mouse into different port

-uninstall drivers, reboot, reinstall and create new profile again.

and none of these worked.

I was willing to give this mouse at least a week or two before deciding on whether to return it or not (due to non-working side buttons which are too hard to press and difficult to reach) but now after it stopped working it looks like it made my mind up for me.

waited so long for this mouse only for this huge disappointment. good job releasing a broken product, Corsair...

Is there some way to factory reset the mouse to fix these laser/sensor issues? I believe it's purely a software error somehow inside the mouse. the instructions for the M60 doesn't work on the M90 since there isn't a "SaveTo" button in the profile page

i searched for that, but found nothing, would be nice for a moderator or corsair rep to chime in
Chime! Don't know **** about the mouse, sorry!

Seriously though:

criton, it's 24-48 hours for an RMA response in their ticket system, and if you started this thread around the same time you put in the RMA request, then you caught them at the end of their work day.

s74r1, please start your own thread.

start my own thread about the M90 laser dying? seemed quite on topic to me, but I'll do it anyway. and I wouldn't doubt the OP's mouse is having a similar if not the same issue. but I've already put in a support ticket though.

Actually, if you click on one of the little LEDs under where it says LED on the Manage Profiles tab a window will pop up that has an option to select a profile and save it to the mouse.

yea mine too, changing ms will make mouse stop respond to certain surface of mouse pats.

Like my Razer pad will not respond after changing ms, but my desk surface do just fine.

But sometimes the mouse will just stop working. U have to get another mouse to delete all the profiles and reset to the default. Reboot ur computer and reinstall the driver if needed.
