oldboots1
Hi, I have read the sticky regarding noisy PSU, but it did not seem to talk much about what to do if your PSU is making noise while the system is off (as in, psu is plugged in, switch is on, but mobo+etc is OFF). I have verified it is coming from the PSU, I have put it into a much older dell P4 system. It does it only as soon as the 24pin connection is made. It does however otherwise seem to work fine. While the computer runs, the noise level seems to decrease. My main issue here is not so much the noise nuisance but whether this needs to be RMA'd or if it is mostly a non-issue and just a nuisance? Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 21, 2011 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 21, 2011 It strictly and audible issue and won't effect the performance of the PSU. But if it a nuisance, we can have the PSU replaced. Thank you
