Cheep3
Dumb question time - I bought the GS600 to upgrade my video card and turn a lame never-used desktop into an occasional gamer. The LED was of no consideration whatsoever and I assumed I would just turn it off if it was annoying. As it turned out it makes a great power on reminder and night light if going back to the computer at night. So 2 weeks later with everything working - the light starts flickering and is now completely out regardless of switch position. No big deal (PSU & fan still work) - who needs it right? Well my wife points out that it's only 2 weeks old with only like 12 hrs. use. I believe it's just cosmetic - but she has a valid point. Should I return it? Is it replaceable on its own? I really don't want to take it back out but I'm a little disappointed that it died so soon. Long story short - should I live with it dead, send it back, or is there a way to fix it? Any ideas appreciated. Thanks!
parsec
The LEDs are on the fan, so the fan would need to be replaced if the LEDs were bad. More likely, the switch or wiring has a problem. If you open the PS, the warranty is void, so is that worth fixing it, even if you could? You could live with it, but even the lighting broken in two weeks does not inspire confidence. I'd return it. Cheep3
Thanks, you're right - it doesn't exactly inspire confidence.
