slotrod
My H-50 has run flawlessly for over a year and a half without a glitch. Is there a expected life expectancy on these and should I change it. New system for wife coming and will be adding a H series to it Corsair memory case and powersupply of course. Thanks guys
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 14, 2011 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 14, 2011 We would expect them to run for about 3-4years or maybe longer.. so you got approximately 2 more years from that badboy =)
zinzan
And what should we expect at end-of-life, Ram Guy? My H50 is only a couple months old, so no worries for a while, but what should we be looking out for in year 4-6 in order to avoid CPU/etc damage? Slowly rising temps, or immediate failure of the pump, and dependency on the CPU or motherboard to shut down the computer to save it's components? Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 19, 2011 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 19, 2011 The obvious one would be CPU temp, it would be probably higher than normal even after re seating but the unit itself will not damage your CPU, because CPU have a way protecting itself, it will shutdown at extremely high temp. One way to see if the pump is failing is by looking into BIOS, if the pump is lower from what we have advertised it at, next thing to do is to move it to a different header or maybe connect it directly the PSU, the result is the same then it is mostly likely will need a replacement.
