k1DBLITZ
I'm in the market for a gaming headset and looking for some honest feedback on the Vengeance 1300. I've seen plenty of complaints on the HS1A, which causes concern as the HS1A and the Vengeance 1300 appear to be identical headsets minus aesthetics. I am currently using the Razer Carcharias headset: Headphones Frequency Response: 20 - 20,000 Hz Impedance: 32 Ω at 1kHz Sensitivity (@1kHz, 1V/Pa): 102 dB ± 4dB at 1 kHzMax Input Power: 200 mW Drivers: 40 mm, with neodymium Magnets Inner Ear Cup Diameter: 50 mm / 1.97” Cable Length: 3 m / 9.84 ft Approximate Weight: 225 g / 0.5 lbs Microphone Frequency Response: 50 - 16,000 Hz Sensitivity( @1kHz, 1V/Pa): -37 dB ± 4dB Signal-to-Noise Ratio: 50 dB Pick-up pattern: Unidirectional Cable: 3 meters, Braided Fiber Sheath Connector: 3.5 mm jack (headphone and mic) And while I have been pleased with the Carcharias headset, it suffers from the same problem that every headset I've ever owned suffers from. Everything is great at first, but then inline control fob creates all sorts of problems. First, the volume wheel will start to create static every time you adjust it. Then you find that depending upon the position of the wheel, the sound is not evenly output evenly between the left and right speakers. And to make matters worse, the cable starts to become flaky in that area. If the cable is not resting just right, the sound is not output evenly. I would rather have a headset that does not have that inline fob as it always seems to be a source of malfunctions. So... my question is.... How is the control fob on the Vengeance 1300? Does it create any of the problems I've described above? Thanks.
