K1r4
Hi. I have a problem with my memory, it seems like my bios is forcing it to run at 1066mhz instead of 1333mhz. When I try to adjust my memory settings to match it's normal speed the computer doesn't start, I have to resort to putting it to auto which makes it run at 1066mhz. Setting used in the bios for 1333mhz : cpu bus speed : 133 FSB:DRAM : 2:10 Timming : 9:9:9:24 Voltage : 1.5 Specs : Motherboard : intel dx58s0 Memory : 6gb (3x2gb) 1333mhz (CM3x2G1333C9) CPU : intel i7 920 @ 2.66 (2.80 with boost) Thx in advance! Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 13, 2011 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 13, 2011 I would test the modules one at a time with http://www.memtest.org and install just one module in slot one then go to BIOS setup and load setup defaults and then set the memory frequency to DDR1333. and test them one at a time with http://www.memtest.org. The Default memory speed for this platform is DDr1066 and why it is posting at that speed.
