calisoldier83
Hey, I registered to the forum to let people know that corsair seems to be running some kind of rebate scam. I never had an issue with rebates. I always staple the UPC to the top of the rebate form and I make copies of all my submissions. I checked my rebate today for: CORSAIR CMFUSB 2.0 16GB Drive. It showed up as invalid with no explanation on the online rebate status (no email update btw). I went on the online chat and after giving them my tracking number they immediately told me to call customer care at 18002057657 and closed the chat. It took me 12 min to get ahold of a rep, he didn't help at all, told me it was missing the UPC. I asked for the supervisor who was also less than helpful. His name was "Eric Employee Number 0258". I notified them that I will be contacting the BBB, whether some employee ripped off my UPC code from the rebate form or they "lost it". I don't care. Basically they're telling me I'm a crook and liar, like I do this for living! BTW, I make copies of everything. I'm staring at the scan of rebate w/UPC right now! First denied rebate of my life! calisoldier83
Obviously this is an issue because immediately after I googled corsair rebate scam. Corsair's own site popped up with tons of complaints. Hello Better Business Bureau!

Synthohol
the staff here on the forum go out of their way to help you get stuff like this sorted out, instead of making a federal case out of this why didnt you just ask if someone here can help you get your rebate? it would have been better than barking up the BBB pole. Yellowbeard has always stated if you have a rebate issue he will help you with it. just give him a chance here and remember you get more flies with honey than vinegar. calisoldier83
why, you ask? Because what normally is a seamless task became complicated because of some potential fraud going on at corsair. So far I've been through 3 avenues of approach to get this sorted out, which has now turned into four. Sorry but this can't be ignored.
Wired
Talk. To. Corsair. They will help you out. Always have, always will.
calisoldier83
Contact Corsair's customer service tomorrow when they open and they'll help you out. Not sure what the number is. Saw other posts saying to go to "main site" which I'm assuming is corsair.com. If you go to support then there is just a technical support request form. Pretty vague. calisoldier83
Company -> Contact -> Customer Service. Found it, thanks for all the help. The person that answered was very helpful, emailed them all my stuff. Hopefully, it works out. Sorry about the anger, but I have a feeling something shady happened at the rebate facility.
