Tempest1337
i bought TWIN2X2048-6400C5DHX ( http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000Q04GFO/ref=oh_o01_s00_i00_details ) and they are exactly the same as the one i am running in my computer. unfortunately my computer wont boot with the new ones installed. the only difference form the ones i am using and the ones that are brand new is that the new ones are ver5.1 and the ones that are in my case are ver2.1, not sure if this has anything to do with my pc not booting.my motherboard is an XFX 750a its custom built that i got off a friend. ryukensfj
You may have received a bad module. Use MemTest to test the new modules to determine if they are bad. If they are then I suggest requesting an RMA.

Synthohol
you need to reset the bios to defaults first then memtest one stick at a time let us know :):
Tempest1337
you need to reset the bios to defaults first then memtest one stick at a time let us know :): got it to work for an hour or so, but then my pc rebooted. after thst i took out one of the newer ram sticks and placed it back in, it booted fine and ran memtest; no errors. after that i logged in windows 7, and then turned off my pc... 3 hours later i tried turning it back on and it wouldn't boot, i tried to take out one of the newer ram sticks but no avail. i took out both of the new sicks of ram and it booted fine. i still cant get it to boot with the new ram... i get it know, but after flashing my bios, it wont let me save any settings and my computer reboots.... so.... im screwed.... but that still doesn't explain why my computer doesn't boot with only the new cards... Tempest1337
Reset the BIOS, test ONE STICK at a time with memtest. restated bios, but the problem still keeps happening, the old ram sticks boot my pc fine, but the new ones do not. tested in the same slots. ran memtest for the old ones, no errors. could this be because i need to lower or raise my memory frequency in the bios? Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 13, 2011 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 13, 2011 With just one of the new modules installed please try and reset the MB BIOS there should be a jumper on the MB to force the BIOS to reset or clear. Then see if it will post and let you get to the BIOS setup and load setup defaults and then please test them one at a time with http://www.memtest.org. Wired
1. You have not clearly answered the question by multiple people: At any time have you tried resetting the BIOS and attempted to boot off of ONE (1) STICK? 2. The manual settings are on the label of the memory.

Synthohol
or you could properly set the correct voltage. most pcs that take ddr800 only supply 1.8v on auto. your ram may need 2.1 (check the label!!!) so if you are UNDERVOLTING the ram it will never work. this is important and should not be ignored. if your bios does not save the setting then its not a ram problem is it? may need a new battery. Synthohol
2.1-2.2v and i would get a new battery and maybe flash it back to the ver it was. it may be acting funky because of low ram volts. try just 1 stick to save the voltage and please fill out your specs in your profile. Tempest1337
yeah it wont hurt to change the battery. and i'll see if it can save settings, if not i'll end up flashing it back.

DRAM Voltage control? if so the options i get are, 0.050 0.100 0.150 so on until 0.350, and auto.

Synthohol
im not busting your chops but that bios is one of the worst ive seen. i would have tried +.250 or +300 im thinking the standard voltage supplied is 1.8 and thats why you have to raise it up, performance ram like Corsair need the extra voltage to work right. the replacements wont work either unless you crank up the voltage to 2.1 good luck, let us know.
