James1o1o
Hello I purchased the Corsair HS1A headset on Thursday, it arrived this morning. I had heard great things about it, so I was really looking forward to it. However, when I plugged them in, I could tell someone was drastically wrong with the headset. I threw some music one, I choose Killswitch Engage - This Fire Burns I have no idea what is going on, I cannot even hear the vocals! The music sounds bad but the worst part is there is no lyrics! I switched between the HS1A and my previous headset (SoundBlaster Tactic3D Sigma) and the Sigma seems to work perfectly fine. I tried all different sorts of music, and almost all of them the vocals just seem to not be there, some songs it feels even if instruments are missing, I have no idea what is causing it. I also noticed something, if I ran the windows sound test (see image) http://i.imgur.com/eINuH.png Instead of coming out left speaker then right, it seems to come out both of them each time. Its a really peculiar problem. Can anyone tell me what is going on? EDIT: This is the song, I was wondering if someone else with the HS1A's could tell me if they have the same problem? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7rivf9yfRtE
James1o1o
BIG UPDATE: I think I found what is causing it! I was fiddling about with the mute switch, and the sound returned to what it should be! All sounds sounded much better! I think it could be done to faulty wiring within the mute switch/volume slider housing, I have contacted support for an RMA request!
