H100 4 fan setup a bad idea?

Recommended Posts

Wondering if setting up 2 fans on the bottom and two on the top of the radiator for a push pull outside the top of my haf 932 is a good idea, im kinda thinking i might be limiting air flow some how but i have never done this before either..the fans i will be setting up with this are the cougar vortex fans.

thanks for any input.

If you use 4 fans of the same kind you should be looking at a small increase in performance. In the case of having two differrent pairs of fans, you want the weakest fans in pull for best results.

You should see good results with those cougars. Are they loud?

Edit: Have a look at this: http://www.overclock.net/t/1164638/my-corsair-h100-review-comparing-stock-fans-with-ap15s-push-pull-and-vs-custom-loop

Forgot to add that as long as the case has sufficient intake (be sure to filter it) it should be fine. If not the fans will surely work harder to pull extra air in. The general concensus seems to be keeping a slightly positive pressure inside the case.
