I feel like im so restricted by my purchase of CMZ4GX3M1A1600C9

Hi

I recently bought a build and one of the purcahses was the CMZ4GX3M1A1600C9.

My first Asus P8H61-M LE/USB3 REV 3.0 would turn on but the screen would just be black it would not show anything, althought the moniter did go from orange stand by mode to green.

I RMA'ed the motherboard.

Looking on google i have come across many compatibility issues with the CMZ4GX3M1A1600C9.

Now I am worried about which motherboard to buy to satasify the CMZ4GX3M1A1600C9 into working. But i can not find the CMZ4GX3M1A1600C9 in most of the QVL of the motherboard i have looked into purchasing.

So I have a little issue.

If i buy a Motherboard now, and the CMZ4GX3M1A1600C9 is not on the QVL would it still work and was that problem i had with the asus a motherboard problem?

Are there any reasonably priced motherboards around £50 which can handle the CMZ4GX3M1A1600C9?

This is the motherboard i wish to use: http://www.scan.co.uk/products/gigabyte-ga-h61m-usb3-b3-intel-h61-s-1155-ddr3-sata-ii-3gb-s-pcie-(x16)-vga-on-board-micro-atx

but please suggest any other which you may thing will work this the RAM.

The specs of the build im working on:

CPU: Intel CPU Core i5 2300 Sandy Bridge Quad Core Processor :

RAM: : Corsair Memory CMZ4GX3M1A1600C9 - 4GB Corsair DDR3 Vengeance Jet Black, PC3-12800 (1600), Non-ECC Unbuffered, CAS 9-9-9-24, XMP, 1.50V :

GPU: Sapphire HD 6450 AMD Radeon Graphics Card - 512MB :

PSU: 450W Antec VP 450P-GB PSU 0761345-06451-4 - 450W PSU, Antec Basiq VP450P-GB 80 PLUS,EPS 12V,Quiet Fan, ATX v2.3 :

==================================

Im starting to feel it was a bad decision buying the CMZ4GX3M1A1600C9. But I saw what looked like a high quality RAM, not the cheapest but the best value and decided to buy it not taking the advice of the QVL.

Any advice would be so much appreciated

Thank You

All Vengeance modules are compatible with ANY Sandybridge buld. They are not on most QVLs yet because they have not been updated as they should.

These modules were designed and tested on the sandybridge platform and are also compatible with Sandybridge-E CPU/MB's as well
