I'm not sure what to do with the memtest.

Memtest is a memory diagnostic tool. There is a link on the left hand side of the forum here if you want it. You can use it to test each stick in the first slot to rule out a bad module.


However since you have the same problem with a new set, i would first make sure you have the most recent BIOS for your MB. Then be sure to clear your CMOS and boot with just one stick installed. Once back into your BIOS you can double check that meory frequency, voltage and timings are correct. If they are shut down and add the second stick. If they are not, correct then save the changes and reboot. Shut back down , add the second stick.

Hi Peanutz


Bios Version 0901 is the latest installed, I cleared the CMOS. Booted up no problem with one stick then checked the timings were correct and they were. Put the second stick in and :mad: still the same.


looks like I'm going to have to concede before I lose my sense of humour.
