H60 push/pull replacement fans

I tried searching the forum but couldn't really find what I am looking for.

I'm currently using the H60 with the single stock fan. I want to upgrade to a push/pull setup. I'm having trouble finding fans that meet (preferably exceed) the stock H60's static pressure. I would prefer buying from Newegg if possible, but they don't seem to list static pressure statistics. I was also wondering what additional mounting hardware I would need for the second fan.

Thanks in advance!

Yes, static pressure is not noted for many fans. But a pull fan does not need a high static pressure spec, which is the ability of a fan to push air through an obstruction like a radiator.

There is a fan that has a high static pressure spec, and is on sale now at the 'Egg, a nice match for the stock H60 fan:

You'll need four 6-32 x 1 1/4" screws to mount it to your radiator, which are available at most hardware stores.

Take a look at the link I posted above. I tested using the Blademaster fans parsec linked to. I didnt see a big drop in max temps using two of them compared to the one stock fan. I imagine the difference will be greater at higher temps. I am currently at stock speeds but I plan to overclock when I have the time. I will test again once I start seeing max temps in the 70s-80s.

thanks for the info guys. i have an i7 920 (C0) OC'd to 4.01ghz at 1.34 volts. with the H60 fan on high my idle temps stay in the 30's, but it is kind of loud. using a "standard" profile for the fan control it is wisper quiet but idles around 44c. i thought by upgrading the fan and going to a push/pull setup i could get the temps down with less noise...

You should be able to run two fans at lower speeds than just one fan and get close to the same temps. If that is your goal then give it a shot. Here is a review that replaced the stock fan with 2 quiet fans and got lower slightly lower temps. http://www.hardwarecanucks.com/forum/hardware-canucks-reviews/43627-corsair-h60-high-performance-liquid-cpu-cooler-review-9.html

thanks beeker!

that is exactly what i was looking for. the Noctua NF-P12-1300 seems like a perfect candidate for my setup. now i just need newegg to put them on sale. the wife would kill me if i dropped $50 for a couple of fans...

Gentle Typhoons - Should be cheaper and perform even better. Though there are apparently stock issues in the US.
