dprice5
Hi, I was wondering whether the GS700 would supply enough power for me to add another GTX 560ti to my system (listed below). CPU: i7 2600k Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z68X-UD4-B3 Hard Drive: Intel 120GB SSD + standard 250GB HDD (think its 5400 rpm) Ram: 2x4GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3 PSU: Corsair 700GS Graphics: EVGA GTX 560ti via guru3d.com: "A second card requires you to add another ~175 Watts. You need a 700+ Watt power supply unit if you use it in a high-end system (800+ to a KiloWatt is recommended if you plan on any overclocking)." I should note that the core clock on the card I have came factory overclocked to 900MHz from the stock 822MHz. Do I need to get a bigger PSU or can I get away with 700W if I don't overclock anymore? Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 7, 2011 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 7, 2011 That may work with one card and not over clocking but if you plan on over clocking I would suggest moving to an HX750 watt Min and if you use two of these cards in SLI 850Watt Min.
