napes22
I'm planning on using the H60 as my CPU cooler, which will require me to make my rear exhaust fan into an intake. I'd like to get a fan filter, probably magnetic, to cover the exhaust, but it appears that the back of the 400R is an odd shape. Should I just buy a round magnetic filter for this that would cover a 120MM intake? Or would I need to get something specially designed to match the shape of the grill? I want to make sure I don't restrict airflow. http://www.awd-it.co.uk/images/detailed/4/corsair-400r-rear2.jpg
iamloco724
ive always seen that its a bad idea to get a filter for an exhaust fan you dont want any of that hot air to get trapped inside
napes22
Well if I get the H60, the instructions tell you to swamp the read fan to become an intake instead of an exhaust. This means I'll need a filter. Unfortunately though the 400R grill above is oddly shaped.
iamloco724
sorry misread your op..if you have the case already you might wanna show that picture to the guys http://www.demcifilter.com/ they will tell you how to measure it correctly and see if they could even make one like that they were very helpful when i just dealt with them
Phone Man
The outer screw holes are to mount a 140mm fan so I would get a 140mm filter to cover all the holes. Jim
