Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 6, 2011 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 6, 2011 No, it's an audible issue and shouldn't effect the performance of the PSU. But in your case I recommend you have the PSU replaced under RMA. Thank you

Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 7, 2011 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 7, 2011 It should be fine. It is not uncommon for the current design used to make PSU's to make some noise or wine sound but I would not expect it to be so loud you can hear it over the normal fan noise. However, there can also be many causes of this external to the PSU, like a bad ground or some other device in the same breaker that causes some feedback in the coils
