ted ringer
I'm using a phenom x4 955 BE with Asus M4A785TD-V EVO and CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9B memory. My problem is that the Asus M4A785TD-V EVO has no option in bios to adjust the command rate, by default the board will set the memory to 1333mhz at 1T with the correct timings, so all is good. However if I try and set the ram to 1600mhz in bios, and set the default timings for the ram at this speed, I can't adjust the command rate to 2T which is recommended for this ram at 1600mhz. Now I know you can move one stick into a different slot and this will make the ram run at 2T but at a loss of losing the dual option, so not really an option, as I want to keep the dual function. So what I would really like to know is this, how high can I take this ram in 1T and at what timings, at the minute I have clocked my CPU to 3.6 using FSB of 225x16, which raises the ram to just over 1500mhz from 1333mhz using defaut 1333mhz timings. Id like to get the best performance from my ram, so can any one shed any light on the best way to get that at 1T. Thanks.

It should be there in the advanced memory options. ASUS may have it may be labeled 1n or 2n instead of 1 or 2t. But it's in there somewhere. I have not seem a MB that does not other than OEM sytems Now I know you can move one stick into a different slot and this will make the ram run at 2T but at a loss of losing the dual option, so not really an option, as I want to keep the dual function. This is fals. And your MB manual states no such thing. You should be able to run those at 2t and still have dual channel. That you will have to find out for your self. All modules are different and overclock differently. Corsair can guarantee nothing more than rated speed or whats printed on the labels of the memory. ted ringer
Thanks for your reply peanutz94. It should be there in the advanced memory options. ASUS may have it may be labelled 1n or 2n instead of 1 or 2t. But it's in there somewhere. I have not seem a MB that does not other than OEM sytems Unfortunately the Asus M4A785TD-V EVO really has no command rate setting in bio's, I know unbelievable but true..:(, there's a petition about it Here..although be it small. This is fals. And your MB manual states no such thing. You should be able to run those at 2t and still have dual channel. I'm sure they would run fine in dual 2T if only it was possible to change to 2T, i've read elsewhere that vengeance ram will automatically set to 2T with the M4A785TD-V EVO only if running each stick as single channel. That you will have to find out for your self. All modules are different and overclock differently. Corsair can guarantee nothing more than rated speed or whats printed on the labels of the memory. Yes I understand this, however given my limitations, is it safe to try and get this ram to 1600mhz + using 1T setting, by adjusting the timings. Can I damage the ram trying, as it's advised this ram should run at 9-9-9-24-41 2t at 1600mhz. At the moment I'm running the ram just over 1500mhz using the default timings for 1333mhz which are 9-9-9-24-34-1T, so has anyone got any advice on what I should be doing to get the best performance from my ram at 1T, as timings go and maybe voltage overclock, is there anything I should not be doing etc. My rig CPU: Phenom x4 955 BE C2 Motherboard: Asus M4A785TD-V EVO RAM: CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9B vengeance Any advice would be welcome, thanks. Thy will just become unstable.
