HeyYoWL
Hey all, I bought a NZXT Sentry 2 touch screen fan controller a few weeks ago before I got my 600T. I didn't realize that the tooless optical drives would give me troubles but unfortunately there's no way secure the controller in the optical drive bay. The left side has room to screw in, but the right way has no way of going in. I really like this fan controller and don't wanna get rid of it.. is there anything that can be done? Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 2, 2011 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 2, 2011 I am sorry but our case would only lock with a drive like a CD-ROM. You may be able make some type of custom mounting if you like but short of that I am not sure what you can try. Have you spoke to the manufacturer of the Controller to see if they have any suggestions?
mondenath
Hi you can do it. You can see from the right the hole for the left side. But you have to manage to screw in from the top of the controller. So that atleast one can be easily screwed. First i was also shocked but managed to key in one at both the sides. its tight fit. Phone Man
I have that same controller and the 400R case. It was real easy to just pop off the mounting clips. You may be able to to remove the clips on yours also. Jim

Jim  Remove mounting clips from what, the drive bays in the 600T or the fan controller? How would I go about doing that? Thanks for any help guys! Phone Man
The mounting latches on the side of the bay. They look the same as the one on the 400R and mine were mounted on two little tabs where they pivot. I just popped them off. Then you have access to all the screw holes on the bay. HeyYoWL
Will popping off the tabs break it? Can they be reattached in the future?
Phone Man
Mine came off OK on my 400R. Look closely where the latches pivot. The bay has a metal tab with a small hole and the latch has a plastic pin that sets in that hole. Just use a small screw driver or knife to gently pry the pin out of the hole and it comes right off. Be careful not to break the plastic pin. Jim
