napes22
I recently purchased the Corsair 400R and will be building an LGA 1155 i5 2500K system on a Gigabyte UD3 (and likely overclocking). I'm looking to add more fans to the case and will be working with the following set up: side/front/bottom intake, back/top exhaust. The 400R doesn't come with fans for the top exhaust and side intake - does anyone have suggestions for fans for these areas? My current build uses the following fans which are all 4.5 years old. 2xScythe S-Flex 1600RPM 1xScythe Slop Stream 1900RPM 1xScythe Minebea NBM Silent Fan Should I reuse any of the fans listed above given their age? If I buy new fans, should I go 120MM or 140MM? I've heard good things about the ******** T.B. Silence. Below are the specs for the 400R front (2x120MM) and rear (1x120MM) fans: Front Fan: Speed: 1200 RPM Airflow: 43.2 CFM Static Pressure: 1.6 mm-H2O Noise: 18 dBA Power Consumption: 1.2W Rear Fan: Speed: 1200 RPM Airflow: 43.2 CFM Static Pressure: 1.7 mm-H2O Noise: 18 dBA Power Consumption: 2.16W

Take 140mm, this will give you more airflow at lower rpm compared to 120mm. From my own experience I would recommend Prolimatech Blue Vortex 14, they can handle twice the airflow volume compared to 140mm T.B. Silence.
