SSD Force 3 GT 60 GB not normal velocity

Your motherboard has the Marvell controller providing the 6Gb/s ports. That controller will never be able to support the full speed of the disk you bought.

If you want the full speed, you'll need a z68/p67 mobo with native Intel 6Gb/s ports or a PCIe expansion card. I've seen newer AMD based motherboards do quite good as well so that should be fine too.

No problem - I'm here to help :)

But I wouldn't worry about your current situation tbh. If you have you drive set up as OS drive, and don't transfer a lot of large files from/to it, you most likely would not see any improvement in performance in everyday use even if your disk performed up to spec. Loading of applications/windows boot time/games would most likely be the same, as 4K random and access time performance are still great even when using the Marvell controller. Not to mention many times better than a regular HDD.

So enjoy your disk. And enjoy knowing that when you do upgrade to a better SATA 6Gb/s solution, your disk is ready for it :)
