Orendel
Hi there, I recently bought a set of CMP12GX3M3A1600C9 for use in my Asus P6T6 WS Revolution (X58) board. Memory is recognized without errors on auto-setting, but as soon as I turn on XMP-settings, I'm getting an OC-error and the system won't boot. BIOS is up to date, I previously used a set of TR3X6G1600G8D on XMP-settings without any problems! Any ideas? Thanks, Stefan
Synthohol
you can try bumping up your NB voltage a notch or 2 (also called MCH) most motherboards/cpu struggle with all slots filled, its ridiculous but its a way of life i guess. also try manually setting the timings voltage and speed instead of XMP doing it. let us know:)
Orendel
Hmm... no success so far - have entered the settings manually and adjusted the IOH voltage (up to 1.22), it won't post.... changing the timing mode didn't work either... Any other suggestions? Thx, Stefan
peanutz94
memory controller voltage should be called QPI/Dramm voltage or something similar on your ASUS MB. You can set that to 1.35v and DRAMM buss voltage to 1.65v
Orendel
@peanutz94 thx, that worked  - got one bsod on the next system restart, but now everything seems fine... I'll test it with memtest now and let you know if it stays stable... Stefan
peanutz94
Cool! If you do happen to get an error or another BSOD, you can up that QPI voltage to a max of 1.45v. But i would only add what you need to make it stable. For ex. My system sits at 1.4v for me to be stable.
Orendel
Small update: Memtest passed without errors, but another two BSODs (code 124) thereafter when starting windows... I'll try to increase QPI, as suggested!
Orendel
Increased the QPI to 1.35v, but the system is still unstable (BSODs in Windows)... All help is appreciated ;-)
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 16, 2011 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 16, 2011 Please make sure that you have the latest BIOS then with only one module installed; load setup defaults and enable XMP Profile one and Disable legacy USB and test the modules one at a time with http://www.memtest.org
