TES918 Posted November 8, 2011 Share Posted November 8, 2011 I have the motherboard with the CPU in place and a video card in place. I connect the power supply and the monitor and when I turn on the power the fans spin and the on light glows but I get no video. I know the video card is good.....I know the monitor is good......I know the power supply is good.....what is the best guess on the problem motherboard or CPU? I appreciate any help or suggestions. dsa44 Posted November 8, 2011 Share Posted November 8, 2011 Could be myriad of things. Make sure a mouse and keyboard are connected at boot. Try re-seating the video card. Unhook everything but the video card and monitor. Troubleshooting new builds is very tricky and unfortunately we are trying to help you in the dark.... Synthohol Posted November 8, 2011 Share Posted November 8, 2011 please list your system specs in your profile, if your motherboard has onboard video you need to hook up to it first and change the video output to the card instead of the onboard. could be other things but we are flying blind here.
