Brain_Killer
Hi ppl, Currently i have my syxtem with this modules CM3X2G1600C9 and i want to upgrade to 12GB system. So i searched the website for the modules that i have installed (CM3X2G1600C9) and i can't find them. So, my question is, can i add this CMX6GX3M3A1600C9 to my system? For what i can see they have the same timmings and work at 1600, should i get problems with this, when i put them together? My system: i7 920 Asus P6T Deluxe V2 Corsair HX 850W Evga GTX 275 SSC 3x2GB Mem (CM3X2G1600C9) thks all
Garvin
"should i get problems with this, when i put them together?" It's highly likely you'll have problems. Modern memory controllers want to see matched sets of RAM modules. If you can get two mismatched sets to run together at all, you'll probably need to drop the speed and/or increase the latencies as well.
