Two pairs of good RAM work together!?

Most likely you need to increase your memory controller voltage as it is tuned at stock settings to run 2 modules, not 4. 1-3 steps above the stock voltage should do the trick.

Also, keep in mind that mixing ANY 2 kits of memory not sold and tested together can be problematic and is not recommended.

They ran for about a day, with the occasional hiccup, then refused to boot. When I tested them individually three were OK but one refused to boot so I returned the faulty pair for replacement - Could the fact that I increased the Memory Controller by 3 steps have contributed to this in any way AND should I try again with the replacements or settle on just using two?
