i just bought this corsair SSD force series 3 1 weeks ago , its read speed around 130mb/s , write speed is 108mb/s , this speed is below average , i saw the specification r/w speed is around 500mb/s , is it true ? =( my mother is SATA II (3GB/s) , what should i do to optimize my SSD peformance :(: , any advice / suggestion will be appreciated.

I have the same problem as you...

bought a force 3 60gb a few days back

enabled ahci in bios, installed amd ahci driver

i've also encoutered some BSOD's and a very slow ssd speeds afterwards that only could be resolved by turning the computer off for some time and then turn it back on

i didnt try to updating the firmware due to the lack of time

and i get the same speed results as you

i'll try to post some of mine benchmarks when i get back home

^^

what he said.

nvidia chip sets (or the controller drivers?) are running certain SSD drives as SATA 1 speeds.

with the new motherboards out like the asus sabertooth, etc... you still have options.

I paid like 60 for my new AMD motherboard but there are better out there.

otherwise you can wait for nvidia to catch up. :|
