spoilt
any one have any good controller cards that will fully use the potential of the FS GT?
Toasted
I wouldn't buy a SATA III PCI-E card. As most of them use the Marvell controller, I wouldn't buy one. The reason why is the Marvell controllers won't reach the spec of the SSD. Unless you find one that doesn't use a Marvell controller. Google some reviews for the product. spoilt
well i was checking out lsi products and it cost an arm and a leg ridiculously expensive but they have a nice buffer system built in the cards
MojoVersion8
I also think it isn't worth while
parsec
Any card to supply full SATA III speed will need to be in at least a PCI-E x4 (does x2 exist?) slot, otherwise a card in a standard single PCI-E lane is the same implementation as the Marvell 9128 on boards now, and so no faster. I would likely be cheaper to buy a P67 board and a i5-2500k, and get two real SATA III ports, than buying an LSI card, which are really not aimed at the consumer market.
