nudasveritas
Hey all - I have CMP8GX3M4A1600C8 - I was wondering what exactly X.M.P. Does with this RAM and what X.M.S. is, and if there is Dominator RAM with X.M.S. I'm a little foggy on this stuff - thanks for the help.
Wired
XMS - http://forum.corsair.com/forums/showthread.php?t=33976 XMP - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Serial_Presence_Detect#Extreme_Memory_Profile_.28XMP.29 As far as I know they haven't actively mentioned XMS in years. nudasveritas
thanks for the links. so my memory is then EPP and XMP enabled, if I'm correct. Reading CPU-Z tells me that it's running via XMP at 1600, but JEDEC #3 says 666 (or 1333Mhz). When I check my BIOS, it says that the RAM is 1333, running at 1800. Why is that? Synthohol
look at only the mem tab and double it. forget everything else. if you are running at 1800 it should say 900Mhz. post screenshots? you are overclocked, thats all :)
