sberla81
Hello, I have TWIN2X1024A-6400 modules installed on my system and they work fine. Mb: ASUS M2N-E SLI. (From TWIN2X1024A-6400 datasheet: - Tested at JEDEC-standard latency settings (5-5-5-12) at 1.9V. - SPD programmed at 5-5-5-15) Which product can I buy to extend my memory of 2 GB (up to 3 GB totally), keeping safe and working my current TWIN2X1024A-6400 modules and still running in Dual Channel mode and the maximum speed (800 MhZ)? A "TWIN2X2048A-6400" would be ideal! But it seems not to exist. Can I still experience the maximum performance if I install a product (of a different producer), having the same speed and timing? Thank you very much.
Wired
There is no way to guarantee memory that wasn't tested together will work together.
sberla81
So, is there no way to increase my RAM capacity keeping my current modules working? Have you an already tested combination matching my situation? Thank you.
Wired
There is no way to guarantee it, but you can certainly try it. More than likely you'll have to lower the speed and raise the timings to get it stable.
