draegenbaeg
I have to unplug the power cable from the PSU and then plug it back in every time I want to power my computer on. Is there anyway I can fix this? Or should I just RMA?
Hipster Doofus
Have you tried a different power cable? Rule that out first.
draegenbaeg
Yep, it didn't do anything different. I still had to unplug and plug back in.
parsec
So you're saying you must power cycle the PS before the PC will start? Turning the PS' power switch off and on does not help? Not that you should need to do that. When you press the power button on the PC, it does nothing at all, at first? Are any of the diagnostic LEDs on your board (CPU. DRAM, VGA) on when the PC won't start? Are they on when the PC seems to shutdown? After you shutdown the PC, is the green power LED on the mother board on? draegenbaeg
There are no LEDs on when I try to turn on the computer. It does absolutely nothing at all. The green LED is on when I do attempt to turn it on and it doesn't turn on. I guess I do have to do a power cycle to turn it on. Is this just a faulty PSU? EDIT: I noticed you had the same mobo PSU combo as me. So this isn't some sort of compatibility issue?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 28, 2011 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 28, 2011 Can you test this PSU on another system or test your system with another PSU?

Z Overlord
Hey Ram Guy, mind looking over my issue? http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?t=100310
draegenbaeg
And I don't have another PSU/system I can test this on. Have you heard of this problem before? It seems really weird. After a while of being powered off it just decides that it wants to be unplugged and then plugged back in in order to power on.
draegenbaeg
Could it have anything to do with how the power button and reset buttons are plugged into the mobo? If so, what colors of wire go with what? The power has orange and yellow and the reset has greyish blue and brown.
