drakkor_1
Hi, I have been getting blue screens in Win7 related to memory so I decided to run memtest86+ (4.20). What I've found is that if I put a single memory module in slots 1 or 2 it will fail. pic 1 - All 4 modules pic 2 - Single module If I put that memory in slots 3 or 4 it will pass all tests fine (12x), but memtest is reporting timings of 6-6-6-20 instead of 9-9-9-24, I think that's a memtest bug however because cpuz reports the right timing. I tried clearing the cmos and manually setting the timings but the ram still fails. One thing I noticed is that all ram failures fail with the same error bits, for whatever that's worth. At this point, I don't know what else to do. Does this sound like bad ram or a bad cpu (the mem controller is on the i5 2500k chip right?)? Or are there other things I can try in bios to get these modules stable? Thanks
