YawningAngel
As per title. It's fouling my CPU heatsink, and would similarly foul all the other CPU heatsinks I'd consider buying. Is there any practical way of lowering the top of the RAM heatsink or removing it altogether, or do I have to return it and get another brand of RAM with a lower profile? Quick edit: I am not willing to void my warranty doing this.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 25, 2011 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 25, 2011 What is the part number of the memory you have? And have you looked into using a low profile fan instead of changing the memory? Or moving the fan to the other side of the cooler? Also we do offer low profile Vengeance modules like in this example.

Synthohol
you will void any warranty and make it impossible to RMA in the future should you encounter a problem with the ram. thats why Corsair made low profile Vengeance. in short, the answer is no you cannot alter the design in any way and still have any warranty.
