flyairbus
I just received my Corsair GT 120 in replacement of my drive that was RMA to corsair because of the BSOD. I hope that it will work this time and I would like to thank Corsair for the quick answer, even if I am still cautious about this SSD. Now my question : Should I secure Erase the SSD even if it is factory new ? I will obviously update the firmware, but wanted to know about the secure erase. Thanks for your comments
FoLmEr
There's no data on it, so it shouldn't be necessary. Save yourself the hassle the first time around and only SE if you get problems.
Yellowbeard
It should not be necessary but it's never a bad idea to do an SE after a firmware flash.
