Anth
Could someone either link to the post if it already exists. Or if not list some tools that allow you to use the SSD's innate secure erase feature as opposed to using other methods to format that could potentially damage the drive. I have tried HDDerase 4.0 but I cannot get it to work on my system (keeps saying no drives connected to the SATA ports) Any others to try? I do not mind retail apps if they have other useful features. If its of any relavence I have the X series Indilinx SSD.

Synbios
Two secure erase programs I know of are Parted Magic and HDDerase.exe Darik's Boot and Nuke does not use true secure erase feature and is not good for SSD afaik. For HDD it works pretty well though.
