peanutz94
With your mb/CPU you will need to overclock the CPU to get your memory to 1600mhz. It's reading 1333mhz because that is the max frequency supported by your CPU.
Josair
Oh but what if I dont want to overclock the cpu now? is it ok to run at 1333 with those timings or will i need to change them? Sartre
You don't need to overclock the CPU. Just set the DRAM frequency to 1600 in the bios. AMD systems sometimes need a bit more volts, so step it up to 1.55, 1.60, 1.65 if necessary.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 8, 2011 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 8, 2011 The AMD CPU that this user has only supports DDR1333 and anything about that would be over clocking, but you are right sometimes it will work and some times it will not. However, since the CPU is optimized for DDR1333 speeds then over clocking the CPU FSB is the only way to reliably run the memory at a higher frequency. But you are any one else are welcome to try anything that you like.
