Daz409
Hello i've recently purchased a 4gb stick of ram and i'm having some problems with it. Installed fine, booted fine but i've been getting multiple BSOD and various error messages. I only have the 1 stick in my computer and i've ordered another exactly the same but i'm wishing i didn't. Can anyone help? Not sure if it helps but here's a screenshot http://i51.tinypic.com/5oz6hc.png
Daz409
Well i've resorted to using the budget ram that came with my pc. The cheap ram is working better than the corsair ram which is great. :( There must be some way to fix this?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 19, 2011 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 19, 2011 The CPU you have may not support DDR1333, I would check with AMD to see what speed it will support, most likely DDR800 or DDR1066 and I would try and set the timing manually to what is on the label and try and increase the memory voltage to 1.6 Volts and make sure command Rate is set to 2T. Daz409
ok thanks for your help, i've been reading that you cannot use DDR3 ram on a AM2 Processor. Is this right? Because when i bought my pc it already came with DDR3 Ram in, and that's what i'm using now??? :sigh!: Not sure what's going on!
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 19, 2011 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 19, 2011 Some of the older CPU's may not support DDR3 yes that may be true but I would check with AMD to be sure what your CPU will support.
